I have enjoyed many winters working with my hands, gathering ideas from walks thru the mountains and thru life. My inspiration comes from all God's creations. The trees bring log and lumber for rustic furnishings. Leather and tanned hides become buckskin dresses and coats. Gourds from the garden are painted for decorations and bowls. allen limbs become frames for my art work. I am very connected to the Earth and her Creator.

My way in this life has brought me to enjoy making a wide variety of mixed media, from jewelry to painted hides, buckskin dresses and painted gourds. I have never taken an art class. I just enjoy trying new ways of making things until I find what works best for me. Simple trial and many errors! But that's what makes it fun and interesting.

Great gifts are my children, my grandchildren and my wonderful husband: they have kept my heart glad throughout the years and it is easier to create when you are at peace.

I am a member of Mena Art Gallery, Ouachita Arts & Crafts Guild, and Chairman of the Mountainfest Arts & Crafts Show. My work is available at www.flyinghawkproductions.com and Queen Wilhelmina State Park. I have been an Elder in The Otters Drum Circle for over 12 years, sitting around many campfires telling stories of old.

My goal is to walk as tall as the trees, live as strong as the mountains, be as gentle as the spring rains, keep the warmth of the summer sun in my heart and the Great Holy Spirit will always be with me. I pray the same for all peoples.
