Frank Hebert
Biography

Frank was born and raised in South Louisiana. He graduated from SLI (now LSU at Lafayette) in 1965 with a math degree/minor in engineering. He has known about Mena since 1955, when he met his future wife, Edith. They married in 1959; and they moved back to Mena in 1970 to raise their 3 children in this quiet quaint town. Frank started Mena Steel Buildings (now called MSBI) in 1973-74. MSBI is a general contracting commercial building business. Now owned and operated by their son, Bryan, and his wife, Amye.

Frank has always been creative with his mind and hands and has enjoyed many different hobbies over the years. For the past several years, being free to travel more often, he has been able to spend more time with his brothers in South Louisiana, one of whom is a creative blacksmith and well known in his own right. He inspired Frank to get involved in the art of blacksmithing and set up his own shop. He still finds things to add to his “shop,” but is running out of room to put more new tools!
